mounting usb harddisk in hp-ux

Dear Experts,

I am working with hp9000 rp3410 server running hp-ux 11i os.I want mount my usb harddisk which having data.so i want to know weather it is possible to mount the usb harddisk in hp-ux.If it is pls give me the procedure to do that.

Shalom,

HP-UX 11.1 v1 does not support USB disk devices. Only a mouse or keyboard is supported with HP-UX vi usb.

Hi Periyasamy,

USB on HP-UX stations is only for mouse & keyboard.

No drivers included for printers/UMS drive (usb key or disk) ...

Thanks for ur reply.I want to know weather it is possible to mount any usb drive(pen drive,disk) in hp-ux 11i v2(11.23) or v3(11.31) and is there is any patches or driver access any windows filesystem (fat32,NTFS) from hp-ux.For example if i connect ide harddisk having ntfs filesystem directly to hp-ux server(9000/rp3410),is it possible to mount.

You'll probably have to use samba on a Windows connected filesystem to share with HP-UX.

No, not that I know of. Unlinke Linux, HP-UX cannot mount Windows disks via USB.

Thanks everybody.Now i can cone to know.There is no driver available in hp-ux for usb harddisk.
I want to know weather hp-ux having driver to mount any fat or NTFS(windows) filesystem if it in scsi,IDE or SAS harddisk by direct connection without using CIFS(samba).
