Turns out that the stty +resetGSP When I did the factory reset on the console it reset the console to 2400.
I just changed the console setting one step at a time and tested it till I got up to 19200 and it worked.
I was in GSP earlier setting up a modem and inadvertantly (stupidly) changed both the local and remote console serial port speed to 19200, rather than just the remote. Upon confirming the changes everything on the console changed to garbage.

I've tried:
stty +resetGSP It said:
GSP reset succeeded
I killed all getty/console processes but still garbage when I reset console.

I tried:
Recycle console while pressing <D>.
It did:
Just gave me factory reset and awful colors.

Am I destined to have to hit the actual GSP reset button on the card? Am I "allowed" by HP to do this?
Are there any other easier solutions?

Thanks....

Jim</D>
It depends which server you are talking about
On L-Class Reset can be done from the Card at the rear.
The front GSP reset is for TOC, So be careful while doing this.

Secondly did you change the speed back to 9600??

-USA..
