      <description>I'm hoping someone can help this morning.  I have a HPUX 11.23.  I'm increasing the size of two mountpoints&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;1. Extend the Logical Volume&lt;BR /&gt; lvextend –L 71712  /dev/vg02/lvol1   &lt;BR /&gt; fsadm –F vxfs –b 71712m /ldata/ohp1logs1 &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;    &lt;BR /&gt;lvextend –L 207072 /dev/vg02/lvol2    &lt;BR /&gt;fsadm –F vxfs –b 207072m  /ldata/ohp1data1&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I get the following error UX:vxfs fsadm: ERROR: V-3-20279: /ldata/ohp1data1 is not the root inode of a vxfs file system&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;ERROR: V-3-20279: /ldata/ohp1logs1 is not the root inode of a vxfs file system&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Can someone help?  I'm in the middle of a maintenance window&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;you are giving the below command &lt;BR /&gt;fsadm â  F vxfs â  b 207072m /ldata/ohp1data1&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;always fsadm with Online JFS is working with mountpoints(/usr,/tmp...)only so give the mountpoint name insted of /ldata/ohp1data1&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Suraj</description>

      <description>Thanks to all.  After I created this thread I realized I did not have the two filesystems mounted. I mounted them and was able to execute the fsadm command successfully.  Thanks to all that replied.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Shortly after posting my problem I realized I did not have my filesystems mounted.  I mounted them and was able to execute fsadm.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The threads confirmed what I did.</description>
