      <description>Hi Team,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I got two errors from the same server,&lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;i)Found 'NOTICE' in syslog file! &lt;BR /&gt;ii)Found 'NOTICE' in syslog file!  -commons-lang.txt&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I am not sure what is it actually, I think it is something related to operator issue, but I dont know much about this. please go through with attatchment for details.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Friends your help will be highly appreciated.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards,&lt;BR /&gt;Rahul Rai.</description>

      <description>&amp;gt;smatador: grep -e "err|notice|warn" syslog.log&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The proper option for the egrep hammer is -E.&lt;BR /&gt;Or just using regular grep:&lt;BR /&gt;grep -i -e err -e notice -e warn syslog.log</description>

      <description>If your files has no&lt;BR /&gt;errors&lt;BR /&gt;warnings&lt;BR /&gt;alerts&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;and if its just a notice ( customsized error message you need to check the application that is adding notice to the syslog file)</description>

      <description>Shalom Rahul,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The message means either authentication failed for a normal reason or there is a problem with pam, pluggable authentication module.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;These errors do not look normal to me.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;They look towards a pam problem with configuration or one of the processes within the file.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;First look at the pam configuration files and then perhaps trace the process back to the error message.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;It could be a problem external to this system if the pam process is not local. It could be pam itself is not properly installed.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SEP</description>
