      <description>Hi All,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I  am trying to build a cluster and&lt;BR /&gt;I am exporting one volume group frome node 1 to node 2 and all steps has been successfully &lt;BR /&gt;And when execute the bdf command in first node I will see&lt;BR /&gt;/dev/vg01 /mcsg without lvol1 but in node 2 will see&lt;BR /&gt;/dev/vg01/lvol1  /mcsg &lt;BR /&gt;But I want now to unexport this volume group, don’t need to export this VG &lt;BR /&gt;How I can do it that&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks &amp;amp; kind Regards&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>just run:&lt;BR /&gt;vgchange -a n vg01&lt;BR /&gt;vgexport vg01&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;this deletes vg01 from ur system as if it was never there...&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;next time do a &lt;BR /&gt;vgexport -v -m /tmp/vg01.map -f /tmp/vg01.out -p -s vg01 &lt;BR /&gt;from the first system move the .map and the .out file to the second &lt;BR /&gt;create the vg&lt;BR /&gt;vgimport -v -s -m /tmp/vg01.map -f /tmp/vg01.out vg01&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;hope this solves it&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Hi Nejad,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Perform the following steps to vgexport &amp;amp; vgimport before building the cluster.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;on node2 you need to run this command.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;umount /mcsg&lt;BR /&gt;vgchange -a n vg01&lt;BR /&gt;vgexport -p -v -s -m /tmp/vg01.map vg01&lt;BR /&gt;rcp /tmp/vg01.map node2:/tmp/&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;On Node 1&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;mkdir /dev/vg01&lt;BR /&gt;mknod /dev/vg01/group c 64 0x0X0000(Give the same number as on node2 --check with command #ll /dev/*/group)&lt;BR /&gt;vgimport -v -s -m /tmp/vg01.map  vg01&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;vgchange -a y vg01&lt;BR /&gt;mkdir -p /mcsg&lt;BR /&gt;mount /dev/vg01/lvol1 /mcsg &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards,&lt;BR /&gt;Asif Sharif</description>

      <description>&lt;BR /&gt;deactivate the volume group first before exporting the volume by using &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;vgchange -a n /dev/vgname&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;after that export the volume group&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;vgexport /dev/vgname(it will remove the volume group from u system)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt;&amp;gt;it is already mentioned in our previous thread.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;thanks and regards&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;sajjad Sahir</description>
