topic EMS notification in Operating System - HP-UX

EMS notification

Hello,

I have a HPUX rx6600 machine with OS 11.31 ia, this machine was rebooted this morning, then i started to get ems email every couple of minutes, even after i killed the EMS monitoring, still get the same error, could you please help me?

the email is like this:

Notification Time: Fri Jul 3 13:22:56 2009

KNAERP01 sent Event Monitor notification information:

/system/status/system_status/ui_host/hostname.com is != 0.

Hi Leah,

looks like your system's hostname or the ip address not set.

Otherwise if you want to disable you can stop the diagnostics.

/sbin/init.d/diagnostics stop

thank you very much for your help, i figured out why.

i used sam to start the ems alert notication, that one caused the problem, not the one through the 'monconfig' one, so i went ahead stopped the montoring through SAM, everything is ok now. but i stil don't know why sending me email every 5 minutes, i didn't see anything wrong, the regular SAM also didn't give me alert.
