How can I instalk rpm package on HPUX 11.23? I am trying to install ganglia's gmond*.rpm file.

Any ideas?

Get the source and build it yourself.

By its very nature anything that comes in .rpm format is for Linux - why would you expect to be able to install it on HP-UX? you wouldn't expect to install a .rpm on a Windows system, so why HP-UX??

Hello Pratibha,

RPM is mainly intended for Linux systems, HPUX doesn't support this package manager files.

You would first need to see the release notes for Ganglia if it supports HPUX ver.

If Ganglia supports HPUX ver. then get the Source or the compatible binaries alongwith all the dependant Packages for installation.
