    <description>Hello,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;My system stop booting at CIMSERVER.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;In maintenece mode i can activate the VG00, the lvlnboot give this:&lt;BR /&gt;# lvlnboot -v&lt;BR /&gt;Boot Definitions for Volume Group /dev/vg00:&lt;BR /&gt;Physical Volumes belonging in Root Volume Group:&lt;BR /&gt;        /dev/disk/disk93_p2 -- Boot Disk&lt;BR /&gt;Boot: lvol1     on:     /dev/disk/disk93_p2&lt;BR /&gt;Root: ???       on:     /dev/disk/disk93_p2&lt;BR /&gt;No Swap Logical Volume configured&lt;BR /&gt;No Dump Logical Volume configured&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;AND&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# lvlnboot -Rv&lt;BR /&gt;Warning: Logical Volume number "1073741827" found on physical volume not found in "/dev/vg00".&lt;BR /&gt;Boot Definitions for Volume Group /dev/vg00:&lt;BR /&gt;Physical Volumes belonging in Root Volume Group:&lt;BR /&gt;        /dev/disk/disk93_p2 -- Boot Disk&lt;BR /&gt;Boot: lvol1     on:     /dev/disk/disk93_p2&lt;BR /&gt;Root: ???       on:     /dev/disk/disk93_p2&lt;BR /&gt;No Swap Logical Volume configured&lt;BR /&gt;No Dump Logical Volume configured&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Volume Group configuration for /dev/vg00 has been saved in /etc/lvmconf/vg00.conf&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;When the system boot can't get a swap and can't mount /stand.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Help me :)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Marcio&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>so once you have the VG activated in LVM maintenance mode, what do you get from:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;vgdisplay -v vg00&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;if you have a default LVM layout you would expect to see a lvol2 (swap/dump) and a lvol3 (root) partition - are ther present and marked as available in vgdisplay?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If so it may be as simple as running:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;lvlnboot -r /dev/vg00/lvol3&lt;BR /&gt;lvlnboot -s /dev/vg00/lvol2&lt;BR /&gt;lvlnboot -d /dev/vg00/lvol2&lt;BR /&gt;lvlnboot -R /dev/vg00&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;HTH&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Duncan</description>
