Shalom,

There was a tool called security patch check, though it may have been rolled into SWA.

An often unknown element here is security patch installation is a contractual requirement of all HP Support agreements.

SEP

security_patch_check was obsoleted on 11/1/2008. It is still delivered with SWA, but will now convert into a call to SWA itself.

Older versions of SPC should be able to get data updates now, but this will be shut off at some future point without warning.

Shalom,

swa "issue", "detail", and "html" reports, swa-report(1m).

whence swa-report

I think there should be a man page.

When it refers to html, swa can issue reports that might be visible to a web browser, if installed and told to open the right file.

That will provide you additional detail on what you need to install.

SEP

The basic command is "swa report". There is a man page (man swa-report) and built-in help (start with "swa -?").

There is also an admin guide that explains things in the best detail. It is available from https://www.hp.com/go/swa via the "Additional Information" button.
