      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;For making ignite image.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt;&amp;gt;If You wana take ignite image through net then.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;#cd /opt/ignite/bin&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;#make_net_recovery -v -s igniteserver -x inc_entire=vg00 -x exclude=&lt;PATH you="" want="" to="" exclude=""&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt;&amp;gt;If you are taking image on tape then&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;1]Connect the tape drive properly to scsi of server,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;2]Run #ioscan -fnC tape&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;lt;&amp;lt;&lt;YOU will="" get="" the="" tape="" device="" address="" in="" a="" claimed="" state="" ex.=""&gt;&lt;/YOU&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;3]# mt -f &lt;DEVICE addrss=""&gt; &lt;STATUS&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Ex. #mt -f /dev/rmt/0mn rewind&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;4]Run the script to fire ignite backup&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;#/opt/iginite/bin/make_tape_recovery -AIv -a &lt;TAPE device="" path=""&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;For recovering the image .&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;1]Make sure that new blade server is in the network of ignite server.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Then intrrupt the boot process&lt;BR /&gt;select the proper boot device ex.Tape/net&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Rgds&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Yogesh&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/TAPE&gt;&lt;/STATUS&gt;&lt;/DEVICE&gt;&lt;/PATH&gt;</description>

      <description>Hi Grayh, &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I am surprised or I am confused.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;May I request you to clear What you mean by &lt;BR /&gt;"like I have to take image from 11.11 and recover it on 11.23 ..."&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You can alwaz keep  installation image of different OSs on same server and you can do pull installation from the clients.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards,&lt;BR /&gt;Sooraj</description>

      <description>Sooraj,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I am also little confused here...&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have a server running applications on 11.11 and I have to make it virtual on 11.23..&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;My options are....&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If Possible do it in the ARIES mode or forklift it...&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;But in any case.. how do I take an Ignite Image here and I do not know the terminology .. use it on the other server..&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
