HP web server configuration

Hi,

Iam unaware about the web server, Kindly help to solve this issue.

System details:
===============
HP-UX 11i v3
rx2660
Intell Itanium server.
Oracle Apps.

Information required.
1)Oracle supports webserver
2)Need an installation or HP backup this software with OS
3)How to install and configure.

Shalom,

1) Oracle apps ships with a specially adapted apache configuration that works best with oracle applications server. Oracle supports working with other servers, however that is a hassle. There is nothing stopping you from running more than one apache server on an HP-UX box.

2) See answer to item 1. I strongly urge you to use the apache httpd server that ships with Oracle apps.

3) http://metalink.oracle.com for an Oracle apps install doc. If you'd read that you would not be asking this question.

Note, if you need a general purpose web server go to http://software.hp.com and search for hpws (stands for hp web suite)

Thanks for your reply, A client require this HP WEB SERVER.

I am glad to inform you all that HP-UX 11i v3 shipped with following web servers.

SOFTWARE hpuxwsApache B.2.0.58.01 "HPUX Apache Web Server "
SOFTWARE hpuxwsTomcat B.5.5.20.00 "HPUX Tomcat "
SOFTWARE hpuxwsWebmin A.1.070.09 "HPUX Webmin "
SOFTWARE hpuxwsXml A.2.03 "HPUX XML "

Needs configuration to start and use http in live environment.
