    <description>here is my syntax&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;swinstall -s /cdrom/QPK1100 &lt;BR /&gt;  -x patch_match_target=true&lt;BR /&gt;  -x autoreboot=true&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;My CDrom is a registered depot&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;My syntax looks correct doesn't it? &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;i then tried to do just the critical patches by using a filter, however couldn't do that from a command line either.</description>

      <description>this is some what related to my previous problem, but i can't seem to swcopy, swinstall from the Command line. If i do it thru SAM or SWINSTALL, SWCOPY GUI, it works fine. I get errors stating there is no software in location etc..... but thru SAM or GUI it works fine. any ideas?</description>

      <description>Hi Chris,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;While doing thru the interactive screen you are probably choosing the packge you ant to install from the depot. If it is so, mention the packge name when you are trying to install from the command line. Do a "man swinstall" for more info. If the packge has a txt file with it, it will give you the correct syntax to be used when installing from the command line.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Hope this helps.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regds&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>That's why the command line sucks, unless you know the exact syntax to direct swcopy &amp;amp; swinstall to where the depot's reside, and I'm not one to remember syntax for every command.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Are you trying to script it?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;live free or die&lt;BR /&gt;harry</description>
