    <description>&lt;BR /&gt;Hi Fizan,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You have removed a HDD from server A and going to insert it in server B.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt;&amp;gt;contents of the hdd will remain in the disk?&lt;BR /&gt;Yes, it will be in that disk only.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt;&amp;gt;after connecting it to the new-server the existing LV in the new-server will get over-writted&lt;BR /&gt;Data is in LVs which in turn are on HDD, so server B will have LV/data untouched, unless you have not removed that LV's disk.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you are speaking about LVs in the old disk (from server A), then it will be overwritten if you extend any LV with this disk.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Hi Fizan,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Do you want to use the old disk in the new system with the exixting data? If yes, do not do a pvcreate or newfs with that.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Check the path of the new disk with the help of ioscan and do a vgimport.</description>
