Documentation for system environment variables

Hello all,

Where can I find documentation on all the environment variables used by the hp-ux OS?

Like I learned about TMOUT some time ago by chance. But is there a location from which I can get a list of all the variables used by the OS? together with what the allowable values are?
man lists many under "external influence" but it would be nice to have a global list.

The man page for each shell has a good description of each variable. For the default sh shell use man sh-posix

I had checked ksh but had not found as many as for sh-posix.
This is the most comprehensive I have seen so far.
