Configuring SAN disk in HP-UX 11.31 to make new volume group

Hi

I have presented a San disk to my server which running HP-UX 11.31 . I am not able to create a volume group it gives out error .Can you please iam i doing it right

What about the options that go with the vgcreate command....like -s or -p.

Have you tried something like:

vgcreate -s 32 /dev/vg01 /dev/disk/disk10

please check if the disk that is presented to the server from the storage happens to be presented as to HP-UX host.

Also HSV 110 controller can you please tell what is the model of the HP Storage?

Hi

The issue found to be EVA5000 VCS 3110 which is configured Active/Passive mode. HP-UX 11.31 will only support Active/Active mode .
so i need to install HP-UX 11.23 along with Securepath to work with my EVA5000 VCS3110.
