      <description>Hi guys,&lt;BR /&gt;I have an rx4640 server ,&lt;BR /&gt;8gb RAM , 2 CPU , 11iv2&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;the problem is ,ls -lrt command just hangs in the root filesystem only.&lt;BR /&gt;Elesewhere its absolutely fine .&lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;root #/ &amp;gt;bdf .&lt;BR /&gt;Filesystem          kbytes    used   avail %used Mounted on&lt;BR /&gt;/dev/vg00/lvol3    2097152 1512784  582936   72% /&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Any help would be great .</description>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;No "reboot".&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Steven E. Protter say,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Probably ls -al / is listing a stale nfs mount.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Check your nfs mounts and possibly stop/start the services or automounter and the problem should go away. There may of course be a problem on the actual NFS server.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Rgs,</description>

      <description>Did you check the syslog.log file for any errors? Usually a hang on a 'ls' means the system is waiting for I/O from a device, i.e NFS mount, disk, etc...</description>

      <description>Hello Chindi..&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;It might be due to NFS file systems..&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Try:&lt;BR /&gt;# bdf -l&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;lower case L, to list local file sys. If this runs fine, then issue is because of NFS mounted file sys.</description>
