Hi All,

We have an rx6600 with IR configured. Now We want to apply the latest 11.31 patches on the server. we would be taking an ignite backup prior to patching.Just want to check the possibility that can we break the IR and boot from one of the internal disk and apply the patches. If we are not good with the patching then can we boot with the mirrored disk. Also after patching if things go fine can we sync the mirror disk back.
We dont have any problem with downtime i.e multiple reboots are OK with us.

Thanks In Advance.

Its possible, but too many steps to do.
if you have the Ignite backup, I personal recommend to go for recover the server by "Ignite backup"

I would recommand ignite or DRD.

Maybe DRD is best for this, because you can patch the clone and boot later.

However, if you want to boot from the removed RAID member, shutdown, remove the other disk, insert the disk you removed first and boot.

Maybe you need to go to the controller BIOS and enable the IR.
