      <title>Can I remove core.0 core.1 and core.2 directory?</title>

      <description>In /var/adm/crash, there are 3 directories which are core.0 core.1 and core.2.  Can I remove all these directories and the file called bounds?</description>

      <description>/var/adm/crash holds a crash dump when your system crashes. If you do not intend to send the crash dumps to HP for analysis, then yes, remove all the files under /var/adm/crash. Note that if your system is restarting by itself and you see a new set of files in /var/adm/crash, your system probably needs patches.</description>

      <description>Hi Peter:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The directories are created as a result of a server crash.  Since this appears to have occurred almost two years ago, you can safely remove all four objects (one file and three directories).&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Clearly after this much time you either corrected the problem that caused the crash or it has never happened again.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;...JRF...</description>
