      <description>ok so, you did you SAM  -&amp;gt; to create new disk, create LV and VG, ..?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Can we try to create "create new disk, create LV and VG,"  via command line ?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;suspecting "if you have used SAM" to create ..(VG,LV)using SAM, as mentioned earlier, person who used "SAM" earlier didn't properly exit from "SAM" menu.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

Do you have all of your SAM patches?&lt;BR /&gt;PHCO_34974 is the recommended one.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt;Johnson: looks like "you may have bad memory"&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt;it would be better to log HW call to "check "Memory from HP Response Centre&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Not hardly.  This is a software error/bug.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You can use gdb to look at the core file to see if it matches any patches.</description>

      <description>Each HPVM version requires minimum release version for guest OS. Did you check that? Are the requirements met? Are current patches installed (on both, host and guests)?</description>

You may have to use this to list:&lt;BR /&gt;swlist -l patch -x show_superseded_patches=true PHCO_34974&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You may need to use the latest: PHCO_39360&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt;Pete:  A better way to confirm the presence of patches is to use swlist:&lt;BR /&gt;swlist -l patch | grep PHCO_34974&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;No need to use grep, just use the ID directly:&lt;BR /&gt;swlist -l patch PHCO_34974</description>
