when I try to see the disk assigned to the LV, the following message:

unexpected exit: procces LANG=C LC_ALL=C /usr/sam/lbin/samx -C -p 5930 -s fs_sa_disk /usr/sam/lib//fs.iu exited with a non-zero exit status
sh: 6053 Memory fault (coredump)

above error, looks like "you may have bad memory "

it would be better to log HW call to "check "Memory from HP Response Centre

above looks like earlier some one used the "SAM" got some problem did proper exit from "SAM" also could cause issue .?

btw , what is OS version, what is model of server ..?

this day in the morning assign a new disk, create LV and VG. (disk from SAN EMC)

ok so, you did you SAM -> to create new disk, create LV and VG, ..?

Can we try to create "create new disk, create LV and VG," via command line ?

suspecting "if you have used SAM" to create ..(VG,LV)using SAM, as mentioned earlier, person who used "SAM" earlier didn't properly exit from "SAM" menu.

This is a bug in samx, signal 11. Do you have all of your SAM patches?
PHCO_34974 is the recommended one.

Not hardly. This is a software error/bug.

You can use gdb to look at the core file to see if it matches any patches.

A better way to confirm the presence of patches is to use swlist:

swlist -l patch |grep PHCO_34974

"s700_800 11.23 cumulative SAM patch"

so please proceed to Install patch

left side look for

Patch database->Â»
find a specific patch-> type PHCO_34974 ->select recommended (hp rating->click -> add to select patchlist ->download select->

You will see,
The total space required for these 14 items is 123310 kb

select all download them

please take note patch ->"PHCO_34974" has some dependcies patches which also inclused some PHKL -> kernal patch )

Action plan:-

make_tape_recovery -> OS backup
than proceed to Install all the patches

Each HPVM version requires minimum release version for guest OS. Did you check that? Are the requirements met? Are current patches installed (on both, host and guests)?

This appears like you have this patch. You may have to use this to list:
swlist -l patch -x show_superseded_patches=true PHCO_34974

You may need to use the latest: PHCO_39360

No need to use grep, just use the ID directly:
swlist -l patch PHCO_34974
