Hi Dudes!

Friends, I have a problem with NFS from a server were to export an NFS server to HP-UX, the problem occurs every day on NFS on HP-UX server loses permissions and does not allow write , verify level permissions, user and the user is the same, however I check that the uid is different because in debian the number you start at 1001.
Any suggestions.

Thanks a lot

Vic.

Shalom,

1) Normalize the user numbers. Make the user on both machines have the same numeric user id. I usually start users at 1000 on systems I mange.

2) Use NIS to manage the users.

SEP
