/dev/rmt/2m: No such device or address

This happens if no media is loaded.

You can use "mt", "mc" or just the web panel of the library to check if a media is loaded or even move a media to the drive.

Hi,

when you issue the command;

# mt -f /dev/rmt/2m status

what do you see ?
if you see Status: [0] there is no tape loaded in the drive OR it does not see the media somehow ,even though it is loaded.

in this case change the media that tested as working in another drive
