      <title>iSCSI problem</title>

      <description>We have one server having hpux 11.31 with latest patches (Sep'10) connected to a P4000 storage. we installed the iSCSI depot and followed the document&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="http://bizsupport1.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c02037109/c02037109.pdf" target="_blank"&gt;http://bizsupport1.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c02037109/c02037109.pdf&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;#iscsiutil -p -O show no output and when we do an ioscan -fnH 255 we see the below output.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;#ioscan -fnH 255 &lt;BR /&gt;Class       I  H/W Path  Driver       S/W State   H/W Type     Description &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;=========================================================================== &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;iscsi       1  255/0     iscsi          NO_HW       VIRTBUS      iSCSI Virtual Node &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;usbmsvbus   1  255/1     mass_storage   NO_HW       VIRTBUS      USB Mass Storage &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;ext_bus     3  255/1/0   usb_ms_scsi    NO_HW       INTERFACE    USB Mass Storage SCSI &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Any idea what else needs to checked or configured.</description>

      <description>I would clear the existing configuration and start from scratch : &lt;BR /&gt; echo "iscsi_krs_delete/W 1" | adb -o -w /stand/vmunix /dev/kmem &lt;BR /&gt;/opt/iscsi/bin/iscsiutil -x &lt;BR /&gt; shutdown -r 0 &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;After the reboot run iscsiutil and the ioscan : &lt;BR /&gt; /opt/iscsi/bin/iscsiutil -a -I 10.12.4.6 &lt;BR /&gt; ioscan -H 255 &lt;BR /&gt;iscsidiag can be used to see before and after configuration information.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Before clearing the iSCSI information and rebooting the system, capture the config just incase as follows: &lt;BR /&gt; ioscan -kfn &amp;gt; /tmp/ioscan.pre_shutdown.out &lt;BR /&gt; iscsiutil -p &amp;gt; /tmp/iscsi_tgt.pre_shutdown.out &lt;BR /&gt;</description>
