ioscan is showing legacy output; your notes shows agile output of disk.

Why not run:
ioscan -m dsf

and you can then see the agile/legacy names for your disk.

Rgrds,
Rita

I do a "strings /etc/lvmtab" and I see that my root volume group is on /dev/disk/disk90, however, I run "ioscan -fn" and I only see the remote/FC storage. Any ideas?

Thank you in advance.

system1:/>bdf
Filesystem kbytes used avail %used Mounted on
/dev/vg00/lvol3 2064384 410641 1550521 21% /
/dev/vg00/lvol1 1009705 312517 596217 34% /stand
/dev/vg00/lvol5 19398656 1728680 16573795 9% /var
/dev/vg00/lvol7 6815744 3111976 3472682 47% /usr
/dev/vg00/lvol4 2031616 61681 1846853 3% /tmp
/dev/vg00/lvol6 8077312 5232705 2666852 66% /opt
/dev/vg00/lvol8 10027008 506377 8925713 5% /home
DevFS 9 9 0 100% /dev/deviceFileSystem
system1:/>strings /etc/lvmtab
/dev/vg00
/dev/disk/disk90_p2
system1:/>ioscan -fn

disk 85 0/3/0/0/0/0.5.5.0.0.2.2 sdisk CLAIMED DEVICE HP HSV210
/dev/dsk/c7t2d2 /dev/rdsk/c7t2d2
disk 86 0/3/0/0/0/0.5.5.0.0.2.3 sdisk CLAIMED DEVICE HP HSV210
/dev/dsk/c7t2d3 /dev/rdsk/c7t2d3
disk 87 0/3/0/0/0/0.5.5.0.0.2.4 sdisk CLAIMED DEVICE HP HSV210
/dev/dsk/c7t2d4 /dev/rdsk/c7t2d4
disk 88 0/3/0/0/0/0.5.5.0.0.2.5 sdisk CLAIMED DEVICE HP HSV210
/dev/dsk/c7t2d5 /dev/rdsk/c7t2d5
disk 89 0/3/0/0/0/0.5.5.0.0.2.6 sdisk CLAIMED DEVICE HP HSV210
/dev/dsk/c7t2d6 /dev/rdsk/c7t2d6
ext_bus 6 0/3/0/0/0/0.5.5.255.0 fclp_vbus CLAIMED INTERFACE FCP Device Interface
