FTP access through Internet Explorer or Windows Explorer

Hi,
I can access the HP-UX 11i V1 server through Windows command line i.e. opening FTP session i.e. ftp IP-Address. But i am not able to access the HP-UX Server through Internet Explorer or Windows Explorer.

Is there any settings need to be configured on HP-UX 11i V1 server before i can directly access through web url i.e. ftp://hostname or IP-address

This is most likely an issue of an involved firewall or something on the PC. By default, the IE does anonymous access as long as you don't specify user:password@server in the URL.

For future reference, ...

"i am not able" is not a useful problem
description. It does not say what you did.
It does not say what happened when you did
it.

And "now i am able" does not say what you
changed to make it work.

All of which tends to make this thread
worthless to any future reader.
