      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have a HP9000 rp5470 with hp-ux 11.11 and two CPU. I go to add two CPU to the machine.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;¿It's necessary some commands when you boot the operating system after add the tow new CPU?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks in avance.﻿&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;The OS will not need anything, however the hardware may.&amp;nbsp; These servers use Processor Support Modules to regulate voltages for the processors.&amp;nbsp; The first 2 CPU's utilize PSM 0 and the second two CPU's utilize PSM 1.&amp;nbsp; So, basically to upgrade to four CPU's you need to have two PSM's installed.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Another way to verify CPU configuration outside of the OS is to run the following from the BCH Main Menu:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;gt; IN PR&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;--or--&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;gt; CO CPU&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Or from the GSP:&amp;nbsp; SS&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Regards,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Bob&lt;/P&gt;</description>
