not able to do ftp

Hi,

I have a rx 4640 server with hp-ux 11.31. I am not able to do ftp. when ever I am try to ftp it is saying command successful and then it comes communication lost and then file doesn't transfer.

Any help appreciated

Do you need to go into passive mode? (See passive command.)

Hi Dennis,

I am doing it in passive mode only.

try FileZilla and see if you experience the same problem ... also look at syslog.log

Hi Syed,

Are you doing ftp from rx4640 server? If so, which is the destination server? Or else, try with sftp command if it works.
