      <description>you can use gunzip for this puepose. 'gunzip -d'.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Also there is a third party patch for the same. (I couldnt recollect the same)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Or just unzip the same in your PC using winzip and transfer to the system.</description>

      <description>Gstonian&lt;BR /&gt;i've done like this /opt/java1.4/bin/jar -xvf filename.zip&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;And it is creating a lot of catalogs Disk1\Stage\Patches\....&lt;BR /&gt;about 1000 rows and files were extracted, can i delete this extracted catalogs...</description>

      <description>If there is only one compressed file in .zip, any of the above commands works. AFAIK, Oracle installation is a directory tree. NPUX unzip can't work with such a structure. It's possible uncompess the installation either on Windows or LINUX machine. At least a couple of years ago I had to work by this way.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;HTH</description>
