      <title>CDE doesn't start</title>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have just installed HP UX 11i.v2, but when I login CDE I get an error window telling &lt;BR /&gt;"Desktop messaging system could not be started", check whether the desktop is properly installed, whether the hostname is correct in /etc/hosts (it is), and whether the network is properly configured (it is).&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I followed  all the instructions posted in the forum &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=297127" target="_blank"&gt;http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=297127&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;but it didnt make any change.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I attached the output of dr_dt&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Any help will be much appreciated&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Fehime</description>

      <description>Lemee assume your hostname is "kaps"&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;#host kaps&lt;BR /&gt;kaps 100.0.0.1&lt;BR /&gt;#host 100.0.0.1&lt;BR /&gt;kaps 100.0.0.1&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Does this work as above ?. If not check in /etc/hosts whether there are multiple entries for your IP_ADDRESS or HOST_NAME&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;That should fix this error&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Kaps</description>

      <description>Thank you all. Our problem is solved. The problem was DNS reverse look up. I configured DNS reverse lookup table. Then problem is solved and I logged in the CDE succesfully. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thank you again&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
