Hi,

I would like to known if is it possible to eliminated devices (disks) with CLAIMED HW on the ioscan, before that the storage equip remove it.

Is it possible to do # rmsf -H /dev/dsk/cxtydz ? or this command is only to NO_HW devices?

The reason for that is that the storage equip wants to ensure that the disks are not being used.

Hello,

rmsf -H "HW_PATH" can be used to remove CLAIMED as well as NO_HW. However be careful while removing CLAIMED hardware.

Device file name can't be used with -H option. HW path should be specified when -H option is used.

Note: Incase if you feel you had done something wrong, run "insf -e" to get the device back (online & CLAIMED).
