rx4610 CDE Login

I am installing IA64 server model rx4610 with HP-UX 11i 1.5 ver. The sever is having VGA card and PS/2 Mose and Keyboard ports. I have connected 17" color monitor and HP Mouse and Keyboard to the server. After booting I cannot get CDE login on console. I tried running /usr/dt/bin/dtlogin command but it returns no errors and I get back to # prompt. The network configuration is proper. Also the CDE environment is installed on the system. Is CDE supported on this server ?

Try running the CDE diagnosis tool:

/usr/contrib/bin/X11/dr_dt

This may flag up some errors with your configuration.

I have tried this command. It showed only few warnings which were related to file permissions. But no errors were reported. Also this system has come preinstalled with OS.

Search string to dind this was "dr_dt"

Particularly look to see if you have anything in /.dt/errorlog or /var/dt/Xerrors

I am getting the CDE login on X teminal on my pc. But still I cant get the CDE login on my Console. Rest all configuration is ok as per document.

Try switching the run levels from 3 to 4 and 4 to 3.

init 4
