Yes Hi and thank you Surendar,

I beleive that my script to find diff on both machines was problematic and I missed the :

of PeriphDevWeb, both the SMH GUI and TUI files. ( a plugin) ?? these "plugins" and such can be very complex as to what is needed and with what bundle, then seperately loaded products and all.

as I understand yes you are correct sysmgmtmin part of core OS DVD's and not downloadable through web?

but cu is stating that he has re-installed sysmgmtmin sevearl times to no avail.

but I think he may have to find the periphDevWeb pproduct on DVD and install seperately ?

does this sound logical?

Thank You.

The current WBEM, SMH, EMS and SFM situation can best be described as a mess. There are dozens of indiviual packages that need to be installed to make things work. I would start by installing the latest diagnostics mega-bundle and the latest SMH package:

https://h20392.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=WBEMMgmtBundle
and
https://h20392.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=SysMgmtWeb

Then run the test programs:

smhassist
webmassist

Fix any problems reported by the assist programs.
Then check for patch problems:

swlist -l fileset -a state | grep -v configured | grep -v ^#

If you get anything from swlist, run check_patches

Hello and thank you, yes we can spend alot of time sorting these documents. but what I have found as you mentioned that it's best to start with installing the megabundle the swverify everything was loaded successfully. then look into products / patches.
