Hi Torsten,

If I use a disk from SAN , will this visible in EFI menu , If I wanted to boot the system from this SAN disk .

Because when we activate the drd clone disk its going to boot the server from the clone disk , So it has to go through EFI shell right .

Please correct me if I am wrong

You need a kind of direct attached disk or LUN (not NFS or something). The disk device will be the target for cloning.

if you activate the clone from hp-ux, the systems sets the primary boot bath to the clone, the alternate to the original disks.

Without setting the path from hp-ux you need to search the LUN from EFI, this means you need to get into the FC HBA BIOS and toggle EFISCANLEVEL.

Better use the activate command.
