HP-UX 11Vi3 OS,

my fstab file has an extra mount point that doesnt exist anymore. What is the best way to remove it without corrupting the etc/fstab file?

Thanks

The /etc/fstab file is a plain ASCII text file and can be edited with 'vi' or whatever your favorite editor is.

Make a backup copy of the file first, then just edit the file and remove the line with the mountpoint you want to get rid of.
