Galcne showing Disk Util 100% for most of the hrs in a day

Hi ,

My glance o/p for a server is showing

Disk Utilisation 100% for most of the times .

Memory is 94%

Swap is 54%

the server is hp ux 11iv2 , 16gb RAM , 32 GB swap.

We have eva 4k which is almost 84% utlised.

6 databses running on it...oracle 9i

Is it because of Storage/Memory congestion ?

Hello,

RAM shorage and heavy device paging is certainly a contributing factor.

YOur kernel tuning can be a culprit too (how much you set for

bufer cache, for example, or database SGA,...).

You need to check which PVs are bys 100% (all or some)? Then

what activties happen in them (application, database, swap, logging)...

So, nobody can provide you with a definite answer until more information

from your monitoring is provided...

Hi VK2COT ,

The dbmax is 4 and dbmin is 2.

We have 6 databasesand 6 applications running on it with total sga of 2.2 GB .
