    <description>&lt;P&gt;Have you tried booting into LVM maintenance mode(hpux -lm)? &amp;nbsp;I don't recall if that requires a password or not.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you can come up that way, then just activate VG00, mount your file systems and edit the /tcb/files/auth/r/root file to remove the password so you can reset it.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Remember that the line should wind up looking like this for no password.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;:u_pwd=:\&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi Admins,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Forgot root password.Since single user mode BOOT_AUTH enabled, the same is asking root password.Please tell me how can i recover the server using bootable DVD in recovery mode.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Server :HPUX 11.31&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Superdome S32&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Operating OE is BOE March2012&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Regards&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;himacs&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
