Implementation of NIS on Trusted System HP-UX 11.31

Currently all our servers are configured for Trusted system mode I want to implement NIS services . My question is will NIS work under Trusted system mode ? . If yes how to implement it.

I don't think NIS is supported with Trusted Mode. It may work with shadow mode though.

Thanks for your reply , I want to keep the system in trusted only , so it means that I can't implement NIS along with it.

A Trusted System implies that security is an important factor for your system. NIS is a very non-secure method to authenticate, thus it doesn't work with a Trusted System.
