      <title>Can't login to the CDE enviroment</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; I have an old B180L I am reguired to keep going.&amp;nbsp; It has 10.2 on it.&amp;nbsp; When the machine boots up it goes all the way to the CDE logi n screen.&amp;nbsp; When I try to log in, I get this error message after a bit.&amp;nbsp; "Unable to initialize or connect to the desktop messaging system check your $home/.dt/errorlog for more info.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have attached that file.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It says ToolTalk is not installed or installed incorrrectly.&amp;nbsp; This machine has run for years with no issues&amp;nbsp; It is installed, as it all worked fine beofre but maybe now corrupted.&amp;nbsp; This issue started after a power outage.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I also ran a dr_dt and get one error could not contact host "myhostname"&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Any help in what to do to fix this or what to look at whould be greatly appreociated.&amp;nbsp; I am not a system Admin by trade but find myself have to support that function on this machine.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Phil&lt;/P&gt;</description>
