      <description>&lt;P&gt;i missed my current root password.so i cannot able to reset the root password. but through rlogin i loged in this server root. i try to reset root password. but it is asking old root password. how to force change the root password.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;installed os is hp-ux 11.23&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;As long as you aren't using NIS or possibly trusted mode?, you should be able to use /sbin/passwd.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
