    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello Team Good morning to all of you,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;We are running SAP at the front end.The /usr size is 6 gig.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Now the problem is that i am facing the issue of /usr f/s geting full almost 95 to 100%.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;we donst have online jfs here. In the SAP application the tracing &amp;amp; looging is enable thats why the application writes the&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;log in the OS it self ,now the problem is that what files need to be moved or delet .&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Please suggest the solution&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;cd into the /usr directory and then do a '&lt;FONT face="courier new,courier"&gt;du -ks * | sort -n&lt;/FONT&gt;' to look for the largest directory in /usr. &amp;nbsp;Once you find it cd into that directory and do the du command again until you find something that can be cleaned up. &amp;nbsp;It could be a large file in a directory or a bunch of smaller files that add up to a large amount.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Welcome to the HP Community forums.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;From your Facebook post in HP-UX, we see that /usr is 50% filled with the SAP installation.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Do you know if SAP is creating logs in /usr/SAP?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If true, what is the path to these logs?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Can you post the output from: &lt;STRONG&gt;vgdisplay vg00&lt;/STRONG&gt;?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This will show if there is any unused space that you add to /usr.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>Thanks Bill sir ,once again ...yes the log location is on :-&lt;BR /&gt;/usr/sap/RPS/log &amp;amp; /usr/sap/trans/log.....&amp;amp; one more thing to add is that we are facing the same issue in all the location.....&amp;amp; all these are production boxes</description>

      <description>Sir ,i am getting confuse about the /usr &amp;amp; the /usr/sap/trans/log ,/usr/sap/RPS ...cause i deleted the unwanted files like old logs &amp;amp; some old application binaries ...which were of the size 20 to 25 gigs from both the location i.e /usr/sap/trans/log &amp;amp; /usr/sap/RPS still the /usr is showing 98% ..please advice ....</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&amp;gt;I deleted the unwanted files like old logs ... still the /usr is showing 98%&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you deleted logs that were still open (modified recently), these files won't be freed until the program is finished.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;You can use lsof to find files with "zero" links.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
