      <description>&lt;P&gt;How can I configure EMS not to monitor a Fibre Channel Adapter.? I need to upgade STM , but is there a config file I can edit to make EMS ignore the adapters? &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Below is the output I am getting. Thanks &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;EMS Event Notification ------ Value: "MAJORWARNING (3)" for Resourc &lt;BR /&gt;e: "/adapters/events/FC_adapter/10_8.8.0.0.1" (Threshold: &amp;gt;= " 3") Execute the following command to ob &lt;BR /&gt;tain event details: /opt/resmon/bin/resdata -R 222232615 -r /adapters/events/FC_adapter/10_8.8.0.0.1 -n 2222 &lt;BR /&gt;32584 -a &lt;BR /&gt;When I ran recomend command: &lt;BR /&gt;npsc1:/var/adm/syslog# dapters/events/FC_adapter/10_8.8.0.0.1 -n 222232584 -a &amp;lt; &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>Hi Roger,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The attached document should assist. It is written purely for disabling tape monitors through EMS but the concept is the same. Instead of looking for the 'dm_tape' processes to teminate, look for 'dm_FCMS_adaptor'. Most of the work is done in /etc/opt/resmon/lbin/monconfig program which is all menu driven.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;HTH&lt;BR /&gt;Michael</description>
