      <description>You have to go through monconfig and it should ask you for the path to the device you want to monitor.</description>

      <description>A5856A RAID 4Si has a daemon that monitors the drives.  It allows alerts to be sent to the console, syslog, and email.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;See man irmd for more details.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Hello Ron:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I know that there is a daemon (irmd) but it seems not to be working. I have pulled drives from the slot and they still show as online in the irm screens.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I welcome any suggestions from you guys.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Rgds</description>
