Thanks to all .

I am a fresher to Hp ux recently I installed zx6000 machine , but the problem is , It is not allowing any body login in console CDE environment but it allows in command line , telnet works .
Please Help me on this .

Harish,
after proving the password is ok by logging on via the command line, have a look at the
/etc/hosts and /etc/nsswitch.conf files.
Ensure the machine can 'see' itself. This is normally the problem in this situation.

Hi Harish,

Check if the deamon is up:

#ps -ef|grep dtlogin

Do the users receive any error message?

vi /etc/rc.config.d/xfs

Make sure first variable is set to 1.

By default it is not set to 1.

/sbin/init.d/xfs start

Most likely cause.
