      <description>&lt;P&gt;If you have Online JFS installed then you can extend MOST file systems online, without any issues.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;However, the /stand, primary swap, and / file systems are harder to extend online. &amp;nbsp;The reason is that they must all be contiguous (all of their extents must be sequential on the disk). &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you absolutely MUST extend one of the first 3 LV's then it is sometimes easier to just create an Ignite backup, restore your system from the Ignite backup, and modify your LV sizes during the restore process.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
