    <description>&lt;P&gt;&amp;gt;&amp;gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;SPAN&gt; to get access to single user mode i need a root login/password verification...&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;You power cycle&amp;nbsp;the system, then interrupt the boot process and manually boot the kernel with -is.&lt;BR /&gt;The steps vary with the model computer you are using.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Unless you specifically setup single user access startup with a password, you'll get a shell prompt after the system reboots in single user mode.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
