topic VM much lower then Physical in Operating System - HP-UX

We have a 11.0 L-class box that has 5GB of mem. However, glance shows a total of 1.29 GB of VM which is 94% used. Does this mean that not all the physical memory is used? Is it used for somethigs else? How is this configured?

Thanks

HPUX - depending on whether it's 64 or 32 bit applications that are running (which depends on your install as well).

I've attached a short paper on memory windows which may help explain how some of your apps work.

1.47GB would suggest 32bit applications.
