hey dears

my hp server get down and i recived this alarm in my log files : ((os shuting down due to FW notification on))

after 20 minutes mp mode worked.

whats does it mean ?? "os shuting down due to FW notification on"

uname -a
model

Where did you see this error message?
In the HP-UX syslog.log file?
The MP connection?

yes ,in syslog.log

mp mode is worked but after 30 mins .

uanme: HP-UX B.11.31 U ia64 3********* license

model: ia64 hp server rx8640

Can you not cut and paste the message from syslog.log along with a few of the adjacent lines? (I know you're not doing this at the moment as you've spelled "shutting" incorrectly)

This message usually means that the system firmware has initiated a graceful shutdown - the most common cause of this is over-temperature - -you should look at the MP logs for the same time as the syslog.log message was generated.
