Hello,

I would suggest to move the disk to another server which is same model - This would help.

Moving the disk to different model server, might cause compatibility issues and there are chances that it failed to boot.

Also i would suggest to log a support ticket with HPE to get the failed server verified.

Regards,

Problems started a few weeks ago. I dusted the server out. The server worked better but crashed every few days.

Now the machine does not boot. I replaced the 3-Volt coin battery but no dice. I suspect capacitors on the motherboard.

I expect to replace the server with an equivalent refurb. I am unclear about OS license transfer.

I want to pop the hot-swappable disk from the old server into the refurbed server.

I would rather not get another server. Is there a better way?

Can you try a power supply from another rx1600? That will be the easiest hardware check.

There is an optional maintenance processor (MP) for the rx1600. If it is installed, you should be able to connect to it and read the hardware logs.
