Hi:

I would have to first ask why whould you install an entire Support bundle and then want to remove the whole thing? If you have one, or two patches that you want to remove, then use 'swremove PHXX_nnnn". Beware that if the patch required a reboot to install, a reboot will need to be forced upon deinstallation. Almost all 'PHKL_' and a good many 'PHNE_' patches require a reboot.

If you have discovered a problem with a particular patch, checking for a more current, superseding one is sometimes as good (or better) "fix" than removing a recent one.

Regards!

...JRF...

I have installed qpk1100 form sept 2001 support cd using option "match what target has"
Now I am hearing from applicarion people that there are some isues with functionality of application. They may ask to remove this qpk1100 and go back to March 2001 patch bundle which we have before.
What should i do in this case and how i shall know that there problem is because of a particular patch or patches.
Hi

I don't know why you want to remove the patch. I would suuggest to use the cleanup command
which will supersede the patch. It is always safer to use the cleanup command with different run level (eg : cleanup -c3 or c4 ..)

Be very carefull if you remove any patches manually. B'cas some of the Kernel Pacthes could create real problem in future...refer man page for cleanup.
