It is worth to mention that most of the cases list_expander fails due to circular link, or unable to resolve file/dir path .

I have seen some circular link like:
/bin/bash --> /bin/bash caused list_expander to fail.
I have also seen in VCS (Veritas Cluster Server) there are few file which causes circular link, and that cause ignite backup to fail. Just need to check it with the list_exapnder manually and you will find it.

-If it is due a circular link, remove that link and rerun list_expander again.

-If it is successful, re-run ignite backup.

Cheers,
Raj.
