Shalom,

The proper procedure is:

Mount the CD/DVD

Use swcopy to create an OS archive on disk, accessible to your Ignite server.

swcopy will work interactively or on the command line.

SEP

Check out the Ignite-UX Manual:

http://h71028.www7.hp.com/enterprise/us/en/os/hpux11i-system-management-ignite-ux.html?jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN

But IIRC the easiest is you launch your Ignite GUI on your Ignite Server. Then go to server setup and skip over to "Software Depot Setup" wheer you will have 4 choices:

<> Copy CD/DVD (to copy your DVD images to Disk)
<> Use CD/DVD (meaning the mounted
<> use installed Depot
< Skip...

Hope this helps... (I just can't recall the manual CLI means...It is likely simply swcopy'ing the DVD/CD over to a depot and using the 3rd option above)...

Hope this helps
Hi,

the other option would be:
Set up one server, then take an (ignite) image of it, then you can install the image with your ignite server.

HTH
V.
